We have received word that Dungeons & Dragons co-inventor Dave Arneson has been spot-promoted to demigod and transferred to the Plane of Legendary Geek Heroes, joining Mr. Gary Gygax.
Word is that once he arrived there, they immediately fell into magical combat over which of them should be noted as the first among equals.

ReplyDeleteUh, I did. The green sentence that begins "We have received word..." is a hyperlink explaining exactly who Dave Arneson is (as well has his difficult relationship with now-fellow-deceased-D&D-inventor Gary Gygax).

Yes. Which is when I first played it. Gary Gygax is the guy who, um, stole the idea for D&D from Arneson and got 99% of the credit. Again, clicking on the green hyperlink would reveal all.
